Birch Forest

Each tree in the piece "Birch Forest" is made from individually hand-cut fabric strips, black fabric is used to create abstract birch bark textures, eye motifs, small marks on the individual trees. A key feature is the midnight-blue stripe running horizontal through the grove of trees. Using various fabrics you capture different parts of the day switching to night from light blues to dark.
